In this series we present our members, where they talk about their activities and why they are members of SME-D. Now it is the turn of Stockholms Reparationsvarv AB.

Stockholm Repair Yard AB (SRV AB) carries out repairs, conversions and modifications of ships along the company's quays and dry docks on Beckholmen. They also have a mobile service unit that repairs and maintains ships and ship systems in ports and during sea voyages. In addition to this, SRV AB also has a ship trade that provides products within the marine segment.

The company was founded on Beckholmen in 1992 (formerly GV Varv AB).

Who do you work with/deliver to?

We work with FMV/FM where we currently have 2 framework agreements for the maintenance of naval vessels. Within this framework, we collaborate with suppliers in IT security, telecommunications, system security, composite work, etc. In addition to FMV/FM, we carry out assignments for, among others, the Swedish Transport Administration, the Swedish Maritime Administration, the Coast Guard, local archipelago traffic and shipping companies operating in the Baltic Sea.

What professional roles (industry-specific) are available at your company?

SRV AB employs engineers, project managers, welders, mechanics, carpenters, surface finishers, shipwrights, etc.

Why are you a member of SME-D and what do you want to get out of membership?

We are members of SME-D to get closer to the industry and, together with other member companies, exchange knowledge and experiences.

We also envision possible collaborations in future assignments for FMV/FM.
