In this series we present our members, where they talk about their activities and why they are members of SME-D. Now it's Knowit's turn.

Knowit Defence Technology AB is a consulting company that delivers consulting services within the defense sector.

With a unique combination of expertise in IT, design, communication and management, we develop innovative and sustainable solutions that contribute high business value to our customers.

Our services are developed and delivered by our four business areas: Solutions, Experience, Connectivity and Insight.

Who do you work with/deliver to?

Knowit Defence Technology AB works with both authorities and private companies in the defence sector. One of its largest customers is FMV.

Do you have employees who are active in the defense sector, deployed to war or veterans?

Several of our employees are reserve officers and soldiers/sailors with contracts with the Armed Forces. We also have several of us who are in the Home Guard.

What professional roles (industry-specific) are available at your company?

Our professional roles are found in consulting services where we are active in procuring technical systems with a focus on IT systems. Here we support customers from capturing and describing business needs, designing specifications, following up with suppliers, verifying and validating deliveries, integrating technical systems and managing these systems.

Typical roles are project managers, requirements analysts, architects, LCM/ILS administrators, system security experts, integrators, advisors, etc.

Why are you a member of SME-D and what do you want to get out of membership?

We currently collaborate with most SMEs and need a common forum that drives issues that are important to us, such as harnessing the innovative power that exists in SMEs. We hope that our membership will, together with the membership of our partners, contribute to raising and developing the conditions for SMEs to operate in Sweden and in our surrounding world.
