In-depth seminar
The aim of the seminars is to provide a deeper understanding and knowledge of current issues and needs within seven different sub-areas. Detailed programs for the seminars are posted on www.soff.se under the heading calendar at the beginning of week 4.
Army (SPL) – Tuesday, February 9th at 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
The seminar contains a status update regarding the transformation of Defense Logistics, a description of the most important consequences for the Army's materiel and logistics supply due to defense policy direction decisions, and an overall picture of ongoing and upcoming procurements.
Logistics (SPL) – Tuesday, February 9, 1:00 PM–4:00 PM
The Logistics In-depth Seminar will use the changing global and threat landscape as a starting point to initially discuss security of supply issues, the transatlantic link and the responsibility of suppliers. This will then present supply chains in peace, crisis and war, future distribution and supply principles for the Armed Forces' needs and the supply of transport solutions at higher readiness levels. Finally, ongoing and upcoming procurements within the logistics area will be reported.
Marine (SPL) – Wednesday 10 February 9:00–12:00
FMV/SPL Navy and the Swedish Armed Forces present the Navy today and the way forward. It is about the need for greater materiel development in the longer term and greater acquisitions in the shorter term. The seminar will conclude with a session covering FMV's view on the shift in the interface with industry, the importance of international materiel cooperation and a closing dialogue.
Flight (SPL) – Wednesday, February 10, 1:00 PM-4:00 PM
At the seminar, the new organization of the Swedish Air Force, both aircraft and base systems, with today's and tomorrow's requirements for acquisitions, availability, etc. will be presented. Furthermore, the distribution of technical responsibility and the distribution between the Armed Forces, the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration and industry regarding the implementation of maintenance will be presented, as well as how the changes to the RML may affect this. FMV's tasks in export issues will also be discussed.
Management (SPL) – Thursday, February 11, 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
SPL Led will highlight the situation in the management system area and give examples of some long-term equipment projects. AL Led will talk about acquisitions in the shorter term. FOI will also provide information about its research and FMV M&I will give its view on procurement activities in the area.
Personnel (Defense Forces) – Wednesday 17 February 9:00-12:00
The Swedish Armed Forces' personnel supply - opportunity to create synergies by attracting and recruiting together. The seminar includes lectures, presentation of the IBM business case and a workshop.
Commercial (M&I) – Thursday, February 18, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Defence equipment procurement in a national and international perspective, Achieving a clearer and better picture of requirements and Strategy within technical consultants.

However, it is possible for a colleague to substitute if the person normally registered is unable to attend.

After the morning session, there is an opportunity for continued discussion over a simple lunch. Those planning to participate in the afternoon session are also welcome to the lunch.
