Business Council Upphandölingsmyndigheten
SME-D participated together with TechSverige in the Swedish Procurement Authority's Business Council for discussions about resilience, security of supply and preparedness through collaboration and procurement.
We share the view that Sweden's tech companies and SMEs constitute a broad, innovative and proactive base that is ready to step up and deliver.
To succeed, the business community's expertise, innovative power and delivery capacity need to be integrated to a greater extent in planning, procurement and emergency preparedness work.
It was very valuable to take part in the perspectives raised regarding the need for clearer division of responsibilities, better guidance, more strategic procurement and strengthened collaboration between the public and private sectors.
Special thanks to The National Agency for Public Procurement and Director General Anja Clausin and Charlotte Petri Gornitzka, national advisor for strengthened private-public collaboration in total defense, county governor of Gotland, for the conversation about how we strengthen Sweden's security of supply and total defense capability.
For SME-D, the message is clear: Sweden's ability to handle crises and attacks is built together with the business community. SMEs and the tech sector are a crucial part of the solution.
Now we need to continue moving from dialogue to implementation.
