The application for EDIDP 2020 is now open!
For EDIDP project proposals where the EU requires, for example, declarations of intent, guarantees or other verifications from the Swedish side, Swedish project participants need to submit supporting documents (download the template here) regarding project applications to FMV by 1 September. Swedish potential project participants are encouraged to indicate interest to FMV regarding participation in EDIDP 2020 by 1 June, among other things to be able to identify the need for government verifications at an early stage. More information will be available at FMV's website in the near future.
Background:
On 7 June 2017, the European Commission presented the proposal for a regulation on a European Defence Industrial Development Programme, EDIDP. It aims to support the competitiveness and innovation capacity of the EU defence industry and to complement and consolidate collaborative efforts by EU Member States to develop defence capabilities. In order to apply for funding, there must be at least three actors in three Member States. The funding rate ranges from 20 to 80 % depending on the type of activity the project involves, with the possibility of financial bonuses for, for example, participation in PESCO projects and by SMEs.
More information about EDIDP is available at FMV's website.
as well as on EU Commission website.
