Thank you 🇸🇪 Swedish Air Force 🇸🇪 for the opportunity to participate in the 100th anniversary
SME-D would like to extend a warm thank you to 🇸🇪 Swedish Air Force – Swedish Air Force 🇸🇪 for the opportunity to participate and contribute during the celebration of the Swedish Air Force's 100th anniversary.
It has been a fantastic event characterised by professionalism, pride and faith in the future. We would like to extend a big thank you to everyone who made these days possible.
We take away four insights from the celebration in particular:
⭐️ Community and leadership
The importance of community, warmth and the positive attitude that the Air Force shows. It opens up for dialogue, willingness to contribute and humility in the face of future challenges. The leadership that is characterized by this attitude creates the conditions to really do things TOGETHER and in this way become stronger.
⭐️ Curiosity as a driver of innovation
The importance of curiosity that ultimately shapes the innovative landscape that quickly gives the Air Force the future capabilities needed to meet the uncertain world we live in. We would like to state that the Air Force has historically always considered INNOVATIONS as a prerequisite for development.
⭐️ World-class technology understanding
The Air Force's understanding of and attitude towards TECHNOLOGY and its importance in providing state-of-the-art capabilities. This is clearly reflected in the system-of-systems (SoS) approach. Understanding the need for and importance of SoS gives a relatively small Air Force the ability to face both qualitatively high-performance platforms and a quantitatively superior adversary.
⭐️ Partnership as part of the DNA
The Swedish Air Force understands the need for partnerships in all dimensions. Collaborating between different branches of defense, between different countries and with industry and academia is completely natural and is part of the Swedish Air Force's DNA. In this way, a powerful air force with a deterrent effect is created. This is clearly reflected in Air Force Chief Jonas Wikman's message that Air Power is bigger than the Air Force.
We look forward to continued close cooperation between the Swedish Air Force and SME-D over the next 100 years.
Finally, we would like to extend a big congratulations to the jubilarian.
The Swedish Air Force's 100th anniversary is a milestone worth noting, paying tribute and celebrating!
