The areas discussed were how category management can streamline procurement, the challenge of skills provision and how to develop one's ability in requirements and evaluation. The approach was that FMV, SOFF and SME-D were given the opportunity to give their views, which was then followed up with a discussion in which the audience was also invited to participate. A very successful concept, thanks in large part to FMV's Petes Gabrielsson who acted as moderator in a very committed and professional manner. PTS was invited to gain inspiration from how another authority works with the procurement of services \u2013 a very rewarding presentation that showed innovative ways of handling procurements.<\/p>\n
A total of about 80 participants were present, a third of whom were from FMV. The day offered many good discussions, not least during the breaks.<\/p>\n
In summary, all participants seemed very satisfied with the day. For service providers, this event was more focused on their deliveries than the Defence Company Days. The hope is that the Technical Consultants Industry Day, like the Defence Company Days, will be held annually. If so, we can highly recommend attending!<\/p>\n
